Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the CycleChef app, made by ESP Digital, a company registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 42173934). By using the app, you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we can.

What CycleChef is, and isn't

CycleChef gives general information about food and the menstrual cycle, meal ideas and a food scanner. It is not a medical device, and it is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

• Cycle predictions are estimates. Don't use CycleChef as contraception or to plan or avoid a pregnancy.
• Food scores and meal plans are suggestions for healthy adults. If you're pregnant, have a medical condition, an eating disorder or food allergies, check with your doctor or a dietitian before changing what you eat.
• The scanner can get things wrong. Always check ingredients yourself if you have an allergy.

If something feels off with your body, talk to a doctor.

Who can use it

You need to be 16 or older to use CycleChef.

Subscription and free trial

• CycleChef Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, bought through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and Apple charges your account.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before it ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We can't issue refunds ourselves.

Licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use CycleChef on Apple devices you own or control, as described in Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA), which also applies. Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app.

The recipes, articles, illustrations and Forky himself belong to ESP Digital.

Your data

Your data stays on your device. How we handle it is explained in our privacy policy.

Liability

We work hard to make CycleChef accurate and reliable, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damage or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you use CycleChef as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can take a dispute to the courts there. If we ever disagree, we'd rather sort it out by email first: hello@getcyclechef.com.
